stone cold, and silent.

There are minutes like hours, and hours like days

where I imagine, and trace the

cold curves of your spine,

(you, clever ghost, enrapture my mind,

enthralling little thing)

and wrap about the contours of your body.

winter rain, unlike summer

has everyone running, scattering,

like sand in a heavy breeze.

hard to carry on,

blocking things in and cutting things out,

and here, in the ocean i come to you

where no others come willing, with sea brine i

await your orders,

telling me to

dash myself to pieces on the rocks.

As I stay in transit,

the city beneath me, spreading out it’s wings;

gold and flame encrusted darkness thrust

upon me.

I wish to stay here, staring down from high mountains or

the wings of the eagles.
